met mrs suneeth for dinner two evenings ago at hotel phoenix in celebration for my graduation. i should have taken a picture with her! grr. feel so dumb now haha. but it was great catching up with her and cracking her up over my idiosyncrasies. (= when i get my first few paychecks, she would definitely be someone i'll bring out to treat!
had an interview with ChinaKnowledge that very same day i met mrs suneeth, just that it was in the afternoon. man. i spent two and a half hrs in that office!! and many things happened. upon reaching the stairs of the building, guess what. my heel broke off! (feli! its the very same gold pair of heels you gave me!! aaaahhhhh!) so i went to look for superglue, anything, to get it stuck back. the shop at the ground floor could only offer me double-sided tape; which i used! stuck the heel back on and walked carefully into the lift and into the office.
had to fill up an application form, then met this chinese guy (from china) who interviewed me a little. it was really hard listening to his english with that heavy chinese lilt. ahh well. he then told me to do some written test - editing this (boring) financial article, as well as to go online to search for a piece of news regarding the China Stock Market and write 200 words on it on the spot. man. that was when i really thanked God for the skills i acquired from my new media courses. (=
after the test, the Managing Director spoke to me for about another hour or so. he explained the job scope, the things i was expected to do. he told me more about the company and asked me alot of questions to test my knowledge about China (to which i could only say honestly that i didnt know or wasnt sure) despite that, he ended off with the decision that he wanted to hire me, and if i was ready to take on the job.
but i'm still not sure. and oh, by the time the MD spoke to me, the heel was off again. and i left it like that. hahaha.
and for marshall-cavendish, i went for the written test yesterday in the morning. it was quite alright; i liked the building and the editing work required to be done. i really hope i can get called back there for an interview. (=
so that's it for now about my job updates. i have to go for lunch now! tata! thanks to you all who take time to read this and pray for me.
every day is a new day ♥
