sometimes i really cannot believe how quickly God answers prayer. when i look back in life, i cant help but realize just how much He has brought me through, and how he has always been there for me, though i never knew. for all His provision for my literature education from bhss, to sajc, and even to university. its really a testimony in itself. (:
anyway, recently i have been wondering about my future, and what can i do in life. it got pretty depressing at times.. so i kept asking God for peace, and confirmation. soon enough that week i received an email from the NUS Campus Observer, which i sent my resume and letter of application to, as part of the assignment given by NM2220. i really didnt expect much to come out of it coz firstly when i compared resumes with my friends, they had so much more written on their papers than i had! secondly, the module cohort is large! there are about 100+ students in that module and all of them are applying to the same organization. thus the likelihood of my being shortlisted was rather slim. only a small handful of people will be selected to work on the newsletter..
yup but i was one of those shortlisted! (: and i went for the interview/informal chat today with the chief editor, and it was quite good albeit the fact that he asked me some weird questions. haha like what is journalism to me, which country do i think best conceptualize free press, and what is my idea of a responsible free press. after talking more about my views on the recent university fee hike and his warning me about the pressures of participating in the newsletter, he concluded that he enjoyed our chat! haha and that although he has other people to interview (gesturing to the pile of resumes beside him), he says that i can consider myself pretty much as approved and to join in their meeting this friday! ahhhhhhhhhhh! haha i still cant believe it myself but i'm thankful, i'm glad and i'm singing for joy at God's provision and His clear sign. (: and i really have to thank those who have listened to my anxieties, my joys, and kept me in prayer--bj, esmond, michelle and mum. for eileen and charmaine as well.. though you wouldnt see this. thank you soo much! grin.
