i seem to be developing a habit of blogging late into the night, and that's not a good sign, i think, though i dont know why. haha..
went back to nus this morning to purchase my lit texts and i think i caused so much confusion and trouble that everyone in the forum bookstore probably hated me for making them wait so long. oops. haha but that's the trouble with purchasing soo many books at a go, as compared to their 5 texts, max. bought 8 texts today and they caused about $160 in total. if i had wanted to buy all the texts i was required to, it would have been a whooping $315! sigh. lit students never have it easy, on their wallets that is, haha. am reading
Age Of Iron by Booker Prize and Nobel Prize-winning author in Literature J.M Coetzee. so far it proves to be rather interesting and i've already gone through half the book by now. hmm. hope the rest of the novels are just as promising.
anyway, met up with shi ying and lacretia today for a goodbye-lac-lunch before she leaves for her exchange programme to Berkeley, USA. been a long long time since i went out with them and surprisingly it was a good time spent. (: they were sharing stories about their internships they did during this 3-mth break and i shame-facedly confessed that i did practically nothing but bum. haha, and help out in church stuff of course, especially in june. hmm. i really need to get some work experience.
badly. it was interesting hearing about the things they saw and went through.. and how they encountered problems and overcame them. good talk. (: went to newyorknewyork in citylink to try it out but the food unfortunately wasnt so good, despite the great ambience; and girls, be advised, wear footwear that has proper grip/friction. i was practically sliding my way in and out the restaurant each time i excused myself to go to the toilet. haha.. we had calamari as our appetizers, and shi ying and i had the Juicy Supreme Burger. not juicy at all! ): loved the layout of the menu though!
