finally managed to trudge through with
Villette. its honestly very trying for the conflicted soul. anyway, there's just wilde left and i'll be done with revision for Romanticism. will be going through all over again though.
West Side Story was good--in terms of singing and dancing. stef was right, the plot leaves much to be desired but i thought that Tony (played by Josh Young) really sang very well. =) and Anita (played by Natalia Zisa) outdid herself in the rape scene. but i think i've watched better? whatever it is, i'm waiting anxiously for
The Phantom of the Opera to come back to Singapore to stage their production again. and Coldplay's coming! on the 10th july! haha i'm definitely going, irregardless.
and i realized that sometimes a phone call may mean something very little, but it could mean alot to the one you make the effort to contact..
it was friday midnight and i'd remembered that i forgot to sms goodbye so i quickly snatched up the phone to call.. and thankfully he picked up, and will not be boarding the plane till another hour or so later.. anyway he said i was the first person to ever contact him with the purpose of "sending him off"? apparently no one ever did that before? dunno.. i felt quite sad when i heard that and saw how things has really changed so much for him. and i suppose the lesson i carried away with is that no matter how small and insignificant the effort is, one should just do it? it may mean alot to the recipient. and even if its not appreciated, at least you know you've tried? i know i certainly have, and i'm happy inside. anyway, my friend (though you wont read this), will be waiting till you get back and we should go have our much-missed ya kun teatimes!
