this is still a 30th sept post.
my blogger create post page is still not back to normal. weird... oh wells.
i just had a really tiring but splendid night. =) bj and i went to the Night Safari - compliments of derek who came to my house at an unearthly hour to pass me free tickets to the aforementioned place. many thanks to you, my friend!
we saw many animals, ie otters, mousedeers, bears, lions, tigers, alligators, hyenas, cloud leopard... so many more! my special favourite was this animal that is actually half black and white - it looked so interesting. i forgot its name though. the next fav would be the giant flying squirrel! i longed too to touch and feel for myself the snakes but i was unwilling to pay the exorbitant price to take a photo with the snake for $5. i loved walking through the jungle-like place at that hour, although there were some parts that was so dark and scary but it was part of the experience and i like. =) its really hard to put into words everything that occurred but i must say that i did have a fun time. we walked all the three trails and took the tram ride at the end, finishing off with the animal show. and now though we are dead tired, we are happy and contented. hehs.
only sad thing was that we couldnt take any pictures because it was too dark.. and no flash photography was allowed. my mum tried to make a joke out of it saying, "they (the animals) all look like you, no point taking!" ha.ha.ha. so anyway, bj and i only managed to take a few pictures of ourselves outside the night safari, in the tram and before walking on the trails. sad.
and since it was raining this afternoon while i was studying at home, it somehow put me in the mood for damien rice. and i thought the song 'delicate' was really nice.
damien rice - delicatewe might kiss
we are alone
nobody's watching
might take ya home
we might make out
when nobody's there
its not that we're scared
its just that its delicate
so why d'ya fill my sorrows
with the words you borrowed
from the only place that you know
and why d'ya sing hallelujahif it means nothing to yawhy d'ya sing with me at all?we might live
like never before
when there's nothing to give
well how can we ask for more?
we might make love
in some sacred place
the look on your face
is delicate
so why d'ya fill my sorrows
with the words you borrowed
when the only place that you know
and why d'ya sing hallelujahif it means nothing to yawhy d'ya sing with me at all?ok. please dont get me wrong. i mostly like the song because of the chorus, especially those lines in italics. i just thought it could apply to alot of people, including myself. yup.
am still thinking if i should go for the Invisible War seminar by daniel foo later...
every day is a new day ♥
