whoooopeee!
went for leon's acjc play last night and it was good good good! better than i ever did expect. leon out-performed his best and i was duly impressed. the queen beside him could hold her own at times, especially during the dances but i thought that tiffany should have been guenevere.. for the singing parts. the biggest surprise and joy was to see my "rubber face" up there acting as merlyn! it was soo funny, and priceless, i couldnt believe it. but he was a great actor, i must say, his voice resonating clear and crisp-like. one of the better ones. indeed it was an execellent production, the dance, the music, the acting. they deserve a standing ovation. only thing is that it was very long, 3 and a half hours. yike.
and i had a very lovely day today. bj and i brought iraeneus to watch star wars. it was so cute having this little fella tugging at our arms, and following us.. yeah.. it was a good experience and i hope iraeneus enjoyed himself. he's such a poor chap, asking innocent questions like, "how do you know when the movie is going to start? (during the commercial period before the show)" i wouldnt mind doing it more often, only minus the fetching him and seeing him back. heh..
then bj brought me to simanex? err some guitar shop located somewhere in between dhoby gaut and city hall. and there i fell in love again with guitars. the sound quality was fantastic. timothys, taylors, ahhhhh.. just a tiny flick of a taylor string could give a strong, sharp resonating note. i was mesmerized. we even saw the special jarsofclay taylor edition.. and it is a whooping $3,ooo over. but nevertheless intricately beautiful. if i ever owned one of those guitars, i'd cry, then laugh, then never touch it again because i wouldnt want to do anything that would possibly ruin it; despite what they say about taylors being able to withstand spore's humid weather.
after the magical time there, we went to tcc and sat down for a quick teabreak.. i ordered tiramisu which we shared. we kind of devoured it hungrily. i realized i missed my weekly caffeine intake. it was delicious, every slurp of it. heh.
and so, on to ps. bought a pair of slip-ons which i've been looking all over for the nicest possible bargain pair of blacks. i cant say this looks great, because it is perfectly commonplace but it fits fine. bj bought some guitar stuff and we walked around aimlessly yet again.. until dinnertime where we went to newton circus and finally, exhaustedly, home.
i am tired, yes, but now, a happy sort of tired. a kind of tired that i would like to have, everyday. contented.
