managed to go for smash! hoped i made a difference to at least one person by being there.. oh well. or is that too much to ask for? i mean, i dont know. its like when waiting at home for mum to fetch me to church.. it almost seemed as though no one really cared if i was there or not. only stef smsed me to ask if i'm there yet and huey ying sent me a get well sms.. yeah.. but what really touched me was daniel who called and wished me happy new year and saying things like we should meet and that he got me a little something that he wanted to pass to me.. he's going into army this saturday - gonna miss him! as a yakun partner.. =)
visited jon chia yesterday coz of mum and aunty gimlan.. had lunch there - mum didnt feel safe leaving me at aunty ivy's place feeling sick and all so she kinda dragged me there.. quite a nice place - love the fish tank they have at the dining area. after going his house, went to aunty elaine's house for dinner.. xiang and i nearly died entertaining and babysitting the kids there. they are super spoilt la. and pple like stefanie peng! can still say i'm spoilt.. WELL. haha..
went church.. managed to feel like new again. haha after church met up with bj.. went city hall to get some stuff.. on the way to his house however, there was this lady who came up to us. she kinda shook me up. apparently she was telling us about her belief in this.. ok i'm getting ahead of myself. She introduced herself as Sister Sofie/Sofia from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. i didnt know what that meant but bj did. they believe in the Bible, but that's not all. they believe that this other book that was written by some other prophets now called as the book of mormon is also part of the faith. and they are now openly evangelizing and stuff. i was stunned. bj was defending and rebutting the lady while i merely sat there, half amazed at the procedings before me and half disgusted with myself for not being able to fend off whatever she's saying with verses from the Bible. am utterly ashamed with myself. this experience kinda stirred me up to do more reading, be more diligent in my qt (di, you must be happy to hear this haha), and spend more time in prayer with God. and it also saddened me to see these people so close to the word of God and yet.. so far. its just
there and they missed it. its.. its scary.
