(staring blankly at the screen)
sometimes before i get home i think about what i can write to fill up this space here and i'll always manage to think of something to say. but right now, at the moment, everything just slips away, too fast for me to grab and catch hold to make sense of the fleeting memory...
but anyway, i had an ok day today. spent some of the time with bj... loved the part when we went shopping together but it wasnt really like the old times... coz probably we were both tired... and there were so many people... and yeah well. but sitting there at the kiliney kopitam... i felt right at home with him there. haha after all, it was he who introduced kaya toast to me! the setting... everything. just nice. perhaps that's what we (or what I) needed - a time away from everything else... shopping, his home where his siblings and mother is, cinema where we only devote ourselves to the screen there... - just time to spend with each other, talking at ease and basking in the company of the other... yupz.
the previous night (saturday), i went for this dinner at the royal spore yacht club... fantastic place. food was good (yet extremely and excessively expensive i think) but best was yet to come. leon insisted at the end of the meal (before desert) to go for a walk - so xiang, dengzheng, leon and myself left the restaurant and walked down to the "jetty" area... its actually more like the harbour for the boats and yachts to "park"... i dont exactly know the boating terms... yeah... well but the idea is there la... and the "jetty" was almost floating freely on the water... i mean when the waves were huge the thing shaked and went up and down... the breeze was absolutely awesome... and we couldnt help it but we just sat down, and then eventually laid down there... looking up at the cloudy sky trying to spot the distant stars... i felt like i never wanted to move then. oh well but i guess good things will always come to an end. cynical? yes i am.
"But her strong sense that neither she nor any human being deserved less than was given, did not blind her to the fact that there were others receiving less who had deserved much more. And in being forced to class herself among the fortunate she did not cease to wonder at the persistence of the unforseen, when the one to whom such unbroken tranquility had been accorded in the adult stage was she
whose youth had seemed to teach her that happiness was but the occasional episode in a general drama of pain."
every day is a new day ♥
